This will surely be the mother of all remakes in the history of Bollywood when Abhishek Bachchan steps in to the shoes of his father Amitabh Bachchan and plays Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in the remake of blockbuster “Agneepath“. Producer Karan J0har had earlier offered the role to Hrithik Roshan who had turned it down due to the lack of dates. Abhishek Bachchan has many a times said “Agneepath” was one of his favourite films. So when Karan Johar offered him the role he was more than happy to do it. Abhishek had once mentioned it was his dream to play one of his father’s characters and “Agneepath” was perhaps the best offer he could have expected.
The 1990 blockbuster was directed by Mukul S. Anand and produced by Karan Johar’s father Yash Johar.
