Priyanka Chopra's brother Siddharth is just back from Switzerland after six months, where he is studying for a Hospitality Association Diploma. He now has to undergo another six months of internship.Due to recession, there are not too many job opportunities available in the hotel industry, as a result, the Chopra boy plans to learn a foreign language while on the look out for a job at a hotel in the city.
Learning experience
He says, "The course is divided into six semesters, out of which three are for internships. I could have done it at any place but am keen to do my internship in Mumbai." The overseas stay has been a learning experience in being independent for the baby of the family.
He has been trained in the art of hosting lavish lunches, elegant dinners, setting the table, serving wines plus all the minute details that are included in a la carte dining When asked if he has been sharing his knowledge with his actress sister? He says, "Yes, ever since I am back I have become particular about every detail on the dining table. My sister is a perfectionist and she loves it too. I suggest how to lay the table in the professional way."
When asked if he had been trying his hand at cooking, he confirms, "Yes, it is in my genes. Both my dad and I are good cooks. It is something I enjoy doing. My entire family are big foodies, so once in a while I cook and serve them."
Boom Crash Bang! Make way people….for here comes the superhero! For a change, this time, it’s not a he, it’s a she! The world knows her as Priyanka Chopra; the girl who has attempted almost everything that others can only dream of: Miss World, model, and now a movie star, without ever compromising on her Numero Uno position.
When others were running around the bushes romancing their ‘normal’ heroes, Priyanka went a step further to romance a superhero in Krrish, which was India’s answer to the likes of Superman and Batman.
And now, life has come a full circle for her, as ‘Virgin Comics’ has created a new superhero character after Priyanka, which will be furthered to comic books, animation and games.
Priyanka said that since she loves cartoons and animations, being able to create her own original superhero with Virgin's amazing group of artists and storytellers was ‘a dream come true’!
The superhero will be an adopted girl who discovers that she is the latest in the line of princesses with great mystical powers and a sworn duty to take down evil wherever it lurks.
The so-far untitled story is expected to have a 2008 launch, which will be further taken into animation games and even a theatrical live-action film! What remains to be seen is if this beauty will succeed in her animated duty.
But till that takes off, Chitra is rolling in adventure. She just returned home (yes, Delhi) for a vacation. And just before that, she made her way to Phi Phi Islands (in Thailand) and had an encounter with a sea-turtle. “I’ve heard about the turtle’s bite. It’s damn dangerous! I went scuba diving 36 feet below water and actually touched a sea-turtle.
Can you believe that?” she said enthusiastically. And Chitrangda has been singing the turtle song ever since!
Here's a cute little story for you on one of Bollywood's cutest new couples! Even though there are reports that Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor have broken up, it seems that there isn't much truth to that. After Priyanka returned from her trip to Macau, China to attend (and win the award for Best Actress) at the IIFAs, she paid a visit to her 'Kaminey' costar's apartment, which coincidently is quite close to her own place.
It seems the physically fit couple decided to head over to a nearby gym to keep their hot bodies in shape and workout together. According to sources the couple walked in together at ten thirty at night with Priyanka a few steps behind Shahid to try and make it look like they didn't come in together... Come on guys who are you trying to fool here?! Then of course they sweated it out in the gym and exercised together for over an hour before they decided to call it a night.
They ended up leaving the gym close to midnight. So what did they do after that? Hmm... well we'll leave that up to you to speculate!
Ashutosh Gowariker turns out to be a spoil spot at the IIFA event. After putting down the two hosts of IIFA, Ritesh Deshmukh and Boman Irani for making a spoof of “Jodhaa Akbar“, he disgraced Priyanka Chopra who won the best actress award for “Fashion”. He compared Priyanka with Aishwarya and expressed his shock for Ash not winning the best actress award when she was also nominated in the same category for “Jodhaa Akbar“.
It happened in the following way, first Priyanka Chopra won the best actress award for “Fashion” and then Ashutosh Gowariker went up to the stage to collect the best director award for “Jodhaa Akbar“. In his thank you speech, he remarked, “Priyanka I love you, but I do not know how you got the award f0r Best Actress when Aishwarya Rai was also nominated in the same category for Jodhaa Akbar”.
The very next moment, he realized that he is humiliating the actress whom he has cast for his next venture, “What’s Your Rashee?” He then makeup things like this, “May be it is because you are very hard working and she is a natural”.
Priyanka Chopra remained calm but missed out the after event party at Abhishek-Aishwarya suite in order to avoid Ashutosh Gowariker.
